Biography
Sofia Araújo is Portugal's standard-bearer in the women's game and a fixture of the world's top ten. The 31-year-old left-hander began 2026 alongside Claudia Fernández before a mid-season swap brought a new partnership with Ortega. A 22-15 season record has kept her at world No.8 on 6,837 points, to go with three career titles and a career-high ranking of No.6 — a remarkable sustained achievement for a player from outside the traditional padel powerhouses of Spain and Argentina.
