Asunción P2 2026

South America's first stop of 2026 deepened the No.1 pair's spring crisis. Galán and Chingotto beat Tapia and Coello 6-3 7-5 in Asunción — the champions' third straight final defeat in a slump that would stretch to four. In the women's final, González and Josemaría recovered from a set down to beat Brea and Triay 4-6 6-3 6-3, a fourth consecutive final win in the head-to-head that ruled the women's season. Paraguay, a padel nation to its core, got the bill it deserved.

Arena Profile

Asunción belongs to padel's old country. Paraguay and its neighbours grew this sport decades before Europe caught the fever, and the crowds here carry that history — loud, partisan, and fluent in the game's rhythms. The venue for future editions is yet to be confirmed, but a Premier Padel week in Asunción needs no introduction to sell itself.
